StruxLume Warranty FAQ's
What does the StruxLume warranty cover?
The lifetime warranty applies to the StruxLume lights and tracks installed on the home. This coverage is designed to protect the main visible lighting system that creates the roofline illumination and architectural lighting effect.
Are there any costs associated with warranty claims?
Approved covered warranty claims during the first 10 years are handled at no cost to the homeowner for covered StruxLume components and covered installation labor.
After the 10-year labor coverage period, the lifetime warranty on lights and tracks may still cover eligible parts, but service, labor, or trip charges may apply.
Costs may also apply for issues not covered by the warranty, including storm damage, power surges, accidental damage, improper use, unauthorized modifications, third-party repairs, relocation of the system, or damage caused by other work performed on the home.
How do I file a warranty claim?
To file a StruxLume warranty claim, contact StruxLume with the homeowner’s name, installation address, phone number, and a description of the issue.
To help us review the claim faster, please include:
- Photos or video of the affected area
- A short explanation of what is happening
- When the issue started
- Whether any recent work was performed on the roof, soffit, gutters, siding, electrical system, internet/router, or exterior of the home
Once received, StruxLume will review the information, determine whether the issue appears to fall under warranty coverage, and schedule the appropriate next step if service is needed.
Approved warranty claims are handled according to the StruxLume warranty terms, including lifetime coverage on eligible lights and tracks, 10-year labor coverage, and 10-year controller coverage.
Is there a guarantee for the longevity of the lights?
StruxLume does not guarantee that any lighting component will last for a specific number of years or hours, because actual performance can be affected by usage, weather exposure, electrical conditions, maintenance, and other factors outside of StruxLume’s control.
However, the StruxLume lights and tracks are backed by lifetime warranty coverage under normal installed use. That means eligible issues with covered lights and tracks are protected according to the StruxLume warranty terms.
This gives homeowners long-term confidence in the system without relying on a vague lifespan claim.
What should I do if I experience issues with my lighting system?
If you experience an issue with your StruxLume lighting system, contact StruxLume before attempting repairs, modifications, or troubleshooting beyond basic app or power checks.
To help us review the issue quickly, please provide:
- Your name and installation address
- A brief description of the issue
- Photos or video of the affected area
- When the issue started
- Whether the issue affects one light, one section, or the entire system
- Whether any recent work was performed on the roof, soffit, gutters, siding, electrical system, internet/router, or exterior of the home
StruxLume will review the information and help determine the next step. If service is needed, we will advise whether the issue appears to fall under warranty coverage or whether additional troubleshooting is required.
Do not remove, relocate, splice, modify, or allow third-party repairs to the system before contacting StruxLume, as unauthorized modifications may affect warranty coverage.
Can I transfer my warranty if I sell my property?
Yes. The lifetime lights and tracks warranty is designed to stay with the original installation location, giving future homeowners confidence in the system as long as the lighting remains installed on the same home and has not been improperly modified or damaged.
Are there any exclusions to the warranty?
Yes. The StruxLume warranty is designed to cover eligible StruxLume components and installation workmanship under normal installed use. It does not cover damage or issues caused by events or conditions outside of StruxLume’s control.
Warranty exclusions may include, but are not limited to:
- Storm damage, lightning, wind, hail, flooding, or other acts of nature
- Power surges, electrical service issues, or utility-related damage
- Damage caused by other contractors, roofers, painters, gutter installers, or exterior work performed after installation
- Unauthorized modifications, repairs, relocation, removal, or reinstallation of the system
- Physical damage, impact damage, abuse, neglect, or improper use
- Damage caused by pests, animals, water intrusion from unrelated home issues, or structural movement
- Wi-Fi, internet, router, phone, app, or network issues not caused by StruxLume equipment
- Normal cosmetic wear, fading, dirt buildup, or maintenance-related conditions
- Failure caused by customer-supplied equipment or third-party accessories
- Any issue resulting from conditions not present or visible at the time of installation
Covered warranty claims are reviewed based on the original installation, the condition of the system, and the cause of the issue.
